The food is very good here (and one of us is Mexican!). We had some Tacos - a calamari, a beef, a chicken and a beef one. We also had some guacamole and tequila shots. The restaurant is very cosy and we liked the decorations inside. The service was polite and friendly but we felt it was hard to get some attention to order extra and dessert etc. The seats are super uncomfortable... like ones you would find in a classroom 20 years ago. We would recommend the food here for sure.

We were super excited for this night out with friends but unfortunately it was a massive let down and massive disappointment. We have visited previously and had great experiences but this was externally disappointing and embarrassing. As previous diners we were aware of the 1.5 hr table limit so had spoke with a staff member over the phone in the week who has assured us we could start in the bar at 5:30 then move to a table at a later stage if one came available or if not we could stay in the bar next door with no time limit as she assured us on the phone the bar never fills at 5:30 ... upon arrival we were told the table in the restaurant was needed back at 7pm and no mention of s late sitting or bar table. We tried to explain the conversation we had had with a staff member earlier in the week but were spoke to very very rudely at the front host station, feeling quite embarrassed by the scene the male host was making. We just went ahead to our table in the restaurant very confused.... later in the night we were rudely approached by the male host telling us we must leave the table. We again tried to explain the situation but he was clearly not listening. He then started to argue with us at our table in front of other guests which was frankly completely embarrassing and disrespectful. Surly with only 30 mins till we were expected to leave why would you sell us a bottle of wine for two. We requested our bill still with a full wine and an uncleared table it seemed they were more interested in pushing us out the door then giving any sort of service good or bad. The worst service I have received on the Coast.

Went to this place only because we wanted to try the beer from Black Hops which wasn't open on the day, but we ended up enjoying the food more than the beer. The nachos was better than most of what I've had before, and the chorizo croquettes were also amazing. Super friendly and helpful staff too! Will definitely come back for Mexican food next time we visit Gold Coast.

Best dinner I have had in ages. The meat is cooked to perfection and the drinks are delicious 10/10 definitely going back.
